The latest episode (number 29!) of Robert Llewellyn‘s plug-in-centric show Fully Charged has hit the Internet showing Llewellyn taking the diesel Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 for a spin.
The Peugeot 3008 HYbrid4 is the world’s first production through-the-road diesel hybrid vehicle. Priced from £26,995 ($41,567 U.S. at the current exchange rate) in the UK, the 3008 HYbrid4 seems a decent value considering the mid-size crossover cranks out 200 horsepower, while returning a stunning 61.9 miles per gallon (U.S.) on the European combined driving cycle and spitting out CO2 emissions at a rate of only 99 grams per kilometer. Most importantly, the 3008 HYbrid4 is not some sort of dreamy concept; it’s on sale now.

In the latest episode of Robert Llewellyn‘s plug-in-centric show Fully Charged, the former Red Dwarf star takes the Renault Fluence Z.E. for a spin.
In terms of price, the Fluence Z.E. starts at £17,850 ($29,288 U.S. at the current exchange rate) in the UK. That includes the UK’s £5000 ($8,005 U.S.) Plug-In Car Grant, but excludes the £75 ($123 U.S.) per month fee to lease the vehicle’s battery. Still, at the price, Renault says the Fluence Z.E. is the “UK’s most affordable electric car.” With its electric motor churning out 95 horsepower and 167 pound-feet of torque and its range estimated at up to 115 miles, the Fluence Z.E. might just be the UK’s most well-rounded electric vehicle, too.
So, what’s the Fluence Z.E. like to drive? If you work in office, odds are your inbox is full of Oscar polls, baby pictures, fantasy football tips, and various other obstacles standing in the way of finishing up those TPS reports. Thanks to Xerox’s Business of Your Brain, you can finally deal with the issue from the passive aggressive comfort of you own mailbox. The free Microsoft Outlook plugin lets you know who’s sprinkling in the most exclamation marks and buzzwords per email, who sends the longest messages, and which senders are wasting your time with emails that just say “thank you.” It’s a nice start, but we think we’ll hold out for the premium version that will detonate every Troll doll within a 50-foot radius.
